#YAMS: Lukewarm Christians

Does God even know you're his CHILD?
So here's a post I've been debating about writing for some time. From the title of my post, you've probably guessed that this post is not going to be my standard everyday post, but something a tad different.
What is a Lukewarm Christian (LC) I hear you ask?  LC's attend church regularly, they may even hold positions within the church e.g. be Sunday School teachers or choir members. Lukewarm Christians tend not to disclose the fact that they are Followers of Christ (FOC) with colleagues, neighbours and friends. They prefer not to be outcasts. Lukewarm Christians do the bare minimum; not quite enough to be true FOC's, yet not so little, they're considered atheists.
What's the problem with being a lukewarm Christian? Why not live your life now, and give your life to God properly later? The problem my brothers and sisters is this... You think your lukewarmness is beneficial to you, because it allows you to continue dibbling and dabbling in worldly things such as drinks, drugs, sex and more, but what you don't realise is that you're killing yourself slowly. Slowly but surely. Outwardly you appear to be fine, and appear to be living. Inwardly though, it's a different story, as you're spiritually dying. Your tomorrows are not promised. Every action has a consequence. Prevention is better than cure. It's not about living it up, and then suffering later.
Matthew 7:22-23 (KJV) says: "Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many works? And then I will profess unto them I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity". I'm not here to preach at y'all because Lord knows I'm not a saint, and I personally can't stand those who think their 'holier than thou' kinda people, and I'm guilty of being lukewarm myself. However, as a fellow Christian it'd be wrong of me to sit here and not share my newfound knowledge with you. After all sharing is caring. And as they say knowledge is power. Now that I've brought you in, you now know what I know, it's up to you, what you do with that knowledge.
As always stay blessed and beautiful dolls xoxo.
